Isaiah 3

Isaiah 3 stands as a grand indictment of Judah and Jerusalem.  As Israel fell, so will Judah because of their blatant disregard for the commands of the Lord.  Isaiah 3:8-9 says:
Jerusalem staggers,
    Judah is falling;
their words and deeds are against the Lord,
    defying his glorious presence.

 The look on their faces testifies against them;
    they parade their sin like Sodom;
    they do not hide it.
Woe to them!
    They have brought disaster upon themselves.

 The leaders have led the people astray.  The things that were meant for their beauty and adornment have been used to make the people proud and haughty, but in the end instead of beauty, there will be ugliness and ruin.  Instead of fragrance, a stench.  Isaiah chapter 3 ends in a really sad picture of the utter complete ruin of Zion and subsequent mourning: The gates of Zion will lament and mourn;
    destitute, she will sit on the ground.
